Coordination Meeting Held Between the Technical Delegation of the Food and Drug Deputy Ministry and 29 Manufacturing Companies in Bangladesh
The technical delegation of the Food and Drug Deputy Ministry of the Ministry of Public Health, led by محترم Alhaj Dr. Nematullah Ayubi, General Director of Regulation of Medicines and Health Products, held a joint coordination meeting in Bangladesh with 29 pharmaceutical and health product manufacturing companies of that country.
The meeting began with the recitation of several verses from the Holy Quran. Afterwards, Mr. Wais Khan, representative of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Bangladesh, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of expanding mutual cooperation between Afghanistan and Bangladesh in the field of medicines and health products.
Following this, Respected Alhaj Dr. Nematullah Ayubi, General Director of Regulation of Medicines and Health Products, shared comprehensive technical information regarding the objectives of the delegation’s visit, newly provided facilities for exporting medicines and health products to Afghanistan, the medicine registration process, issuance of proforma invoices, and new mechanisms for facilitating trade.
He stated that the Food and Drug Deputy Ministry of the Ministry of Public Health is committed to managing the registration, evaluation, and regulation process of medicines and health products in a standard, transparent, and effective manner, and to ensuring citizens’ access to safe, high-quality, and effective medicines.
Dr. Ayubi also expressed gratitude to all manufacturing companies for sending invitation letters and cooperating in organizing this meeting. He requested the acceleration of visa issuance for Afghan traders and importers of medicines and health products so that they can travel to Bangladesh on time and further expand trade relations.
In continuation, the heads of the manufacturing companies also welcomed the technical delegation of the Food and Drug Deputy Ministry and expressed their full readiness for cooperation, coordination, and hosting the delegation.
At the end of the meeting, the technical delegation listened to the questions, suggestions, and concerns raised by the participants and assured them of the necessary cooperation and effective measures to address the existing challenges.
This meeting was held with the aim of strengthening technical relations, facilitating the legal import process, improving the quality of medicines and health products, and expanding mutual cooperation between Afghanistan and Bangladesh in the health sector.
