The Training Program on “Comprehensive Dossier Evaluation of Domestic Production Items (DMF)” Started for the Staff of the Food and Medicine Deputy Ministry

A three-day training program titled “Comprehensive Dossier Evaluation of Domestic Production Items (DMF)” was launched in the training hall of the Food and Medicine Deputy Ministry of the Ministry of Public Health, with the participation of officials, trainers, and 35 staff members of the Directorate of Evaluation and Registration of Medicines and Health Products.

This program has been organized with the aim of enhancing the professional capacity of staff, strengthening regulatory skills, standardizing the process of evaluating technical dossiers, and improving the registration and filing system of domestic production items. Important topics such as DMF and its types, DMF evaluation forms, formulation and its calculations, contract manufacturing between domestic and foreign companies, brand name guidelines, medicine information leaflets, labeling guidelines, price evaluation forms, and other related subjects will be discussed and taught during this program.

During the opening ceremony, Respected Mawlawi Mohammad Musa Faiq, Head of Document Analysis and Activity Regulation, emphasized the importance of organizing capacity-building programs for staff and stated that knowledge and experience always require renewal, review, and updating at every stage. He added that employees should continuously strive to improve their professional knowledge and skills. He also expressed gratitude to all organizers of this program and to the World Health Organization for their technical and financial support, and reaffirmed the commitment of the Food and Medicine Deputy Ministry to organize more training programs both inside and outside the country.

Likewise, Respected Dr. Ibrahim Shirzad, Head of Evaluation and Registration of Medicines and Health Products, welcomed the participants and comprehensively spoke about the importance of strengthening regulatory skills and the essential role of DMF in the process of evaluating and registering production items. He highlighted the important position of the Drug Master File (DMF) in ensuring quality, technical transparency, and compliance with national and international standards. He encouraged participants to actively engage, participate effectively, and make maximum use of the lessons learned from this program in order to improve work processes and enhance service quality.

By organizing such programs, the Food and Medicine Deputy Ministry of the Ministry of Public Health aims to strengthen the technical and professional capacities of its staff, improve services, support domestic production, and ensure the provision of standard, safe, and effective medicines for the citizens of the country.
